This site has always been a star. We stayed here way back in 1979 with our caravan. Plot on very edge of glorious Rhine River. What could be better.

A lovely campsite by the Rhine. About 1.5km outside of Boppard. There is a bus stop just outside camp or a pleasant cycle ride is a good option. There are good sanitary facilities with one large block containing about 12 showers (6 per gender) and a smaller block with less. Plenty of loos too. There is a nice restaurant on site and a swimming pool. Mainly camper vans but that appears to be the norm in Germany. Little shade for tents. Toilets can be quite a walk if you are pitched in the wrong place. English spoken. Overall, very pleasant and we would happily return.

This would be 5 stars all the way if proximity to the Rhine was all that mattered. Unfortunately this beautiful riverside  location is also right next to a 24 hour railway line and next to a busy road. There is another railway line the other side of the river for good measure. Being on the banks of the Rhine and only 5Kms from Boppard is great, the facilities are excellent and the staff friendly. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked good. The shop has only basics but with nearby shops in Boppard that's not a problem. So, in summary: good facilities, friendly staff and a lovely river frontage surrounded by slopes covered with vines, but oh dear me the noise, the noise!

Have  been camping here for over 15 years and love it close to boppard and koblenz cycling is fantastic in either direction and easy along the rhine.
