the style changes a lot, because as a tastemaker he gets bored very fast, at the moment it's a mix of modern funky electronic disco with late seventies west coast sunshine softrock-disco!

Le Hammond Inferno. Bungalow Records. Berlin Battery. How Do You Are?. Das dürfte genügen, um sich die musikalische Qualität von Marcus Liesenfeld alias DJ Supermarkt vor Augen zu führen. Er ist bekannt und berüchtigt als jemand, der Musik lange vor anderen entdeckt und dann auf seinen diversen Kanälen (blogs, dj-sets, label, veranstaltungen) unter die Leute bringt. Die Berliner Zeitschrift ZITTY setzte ihn mal auf Platz 33 der 50 Gründe, warum Berlin wirklich besonders ist. Er ist regelmäßiger Gast in den Top Ten der beliebtesten deutschen Djs des Intro-magazins. Er ist seit Jahren Resident Dj des MELT- und des BERLIN FESTIVALS. Er hat sowohl vor 5 Leuten auf den Klos der meisten illegalen Clubs Berlins aufgelegt, als auch die Bühne auf Europas größten Festivals mit Bands wie Morrissey, Phoenix, Hot Chip, Mika, Blur etc… vor bis zu 35.000 Menschen geteilt. Auf seinen Geschmack kann man sich seit nunmehr 20 Jahren verlassen. Kein Wunder, dass er mittlerweile die Hälfte des Jahres mithilft, auf einem kleinen Weingut im Süden Frankreichs ganz besondere Weine zu brauen.

DAZED & CONFUSED (r.i.p.!): ...one of the minds behind the eclectic Bungalow Records and one half of Berlin quirk-house outfit Le Hammond Inferno, who, with his musical soulmate Holger Beier, has created the most unusual, inspiring record to be released in the UK so far this year. ‘My First Political Dance Album’ is a swirl of eighties synth, vocoded vocals, humming basslines and booming house beats. It also contains the most fantastic tongue-in-cheek lyrics, delivered in the same endearingly naïve English that has made Air the epitome of continental-chic. This is exemplified in electro-funk single ‘Move Your MP3’ which features the chorus, ‘put your left hand in the air / put your MP3 in your underwear’.

By far the best festival i ever been to so far, was dissapointed with kills, but only added to the Racontuers brilliance! also was amazed by My morning jacket who i hadn't seen before. Some other first timers who impressed were Yelle, viva la fete AND DJ Supermarkt!! what a set!!
