Artisan frame makers for prescription glasses and sunglasses. Bespoke frames in a wide reange of materials and designs.

Geschichte
The word 'tangata' is from the Maori language and means 'person', the individual being. And this is what tangata eyewear is all about; unique glasses for unique people.

Step away from uniformity and constraints, enjoy yourself and show off your personality.
We manufacture all prescription frames and sunglasses by hand. A lengthy process with more than 40 steps. 
We offer our very own material in almost any colour and pattern you can imagine and can guarantee that each frame is unique and impossible to reproduce in exactly the same colour or pattern.

We source the wood for our wooden frames locally and offer chestnut, orange and grapefruit wood. 
Our horn frames are made of buffalo horn and locally sourced antlers the deer is loosing once a year.

Apart from our own designs, we offer the range of Niklas Wejedal designs for glasses and sunglasses. 
Niklas is based in Sweden and very unique with his designs when it comes to combine the Scandinavian spirit with unique shapes and colours. He is an accomplished designer for the car industry and also known for his outstanding work in the music industry from Scandinavia to Hollywood. We are very lucky to have him on the team.

Our prescription frames and sunglasses are only available from independent optical practices. We do not supply franchise or chain stores, no do we produce in-house labels in large quantities.
We are all about quality and guarantee a unique and high quality product. As unique as its wearer.
