Geschichte
In 2005 with the foundation of the Buddhist Vihara Hamburg e.V., Bhante Punnarathana offers spiritual care and Buddhist teaching for various meditation groups in the Hamburg area.

With the Kathinafest that took place on November 2, 2014, Bhante Punnarathana now heads the newly founded Center "Buddhist Maha Vihara e.V. " in Schneverdingen.

Unsere Aufgabe
Geleitet wird das Zentrum von Bhante Punnaratana, vollordinierter Mönch de Theravasa Tradition.
 
The mission of our center is to propagate Buddhism through its practice, and to educate all sentient beings on how to attain Enlightenment and purification of the mind. 
In general, Buddhism upholds the virtues of benevolence, perseverance, self-discipline, and charity. By studying and practicing Buddhism, we learn to be virtuous citizens while striving to have concentration, mindfulness and to be free ourselves from all the sufferings.
