Geschichte
Watterott electronic is an electronics company specialized in Open-Hardware, DIY (Do-It-Yourself) and development components.
The company was founded by Stephan Watterott as an one-man business in Hausen (Thuringia, Germany) in March 2008. The goal was to offer some own microcontroller boards and special hard to find development components. In the early months an about 20 m² large room was enough for office, manufacturing, warehousing and shipping. Gradually the product range increased and also the shipping volume. In mid 2010 then the place was to small and the company moved after major renovation work to a new location in Leinefelde at the end of the year. In the subsequent time the product range continues to grow and the in-house production is constantly expanded.

Watterott electronic ist ein Elektronikunternehmen mit Spezialisierung auf Open-Hardware, DIY (Do-It-Yourself) und Entwicklungskomponenten.
Die Firma wurde im März 2008 von Stephan Watterott als Einzelunternehmen in Hausen (Thüringen, Deutschland) gegründet. Ziel war es eigene Mikrocontrollerboards und spezielle schwer beschaffbare Entwicklungskomponenten anzubieten. In den ersten Monaten reichte dafür ein ungefähr 20 m² großer Raum für Büro, Fertigung, Lager und Versand aus. Nach und nach wuchs das Produktangebot und ebenfalls das Versandaufkommen. Mitte 2010 reichte dann der Platz nicht mehr aus und es erfolgte Ende des Jahres und nach größeren Renovierungsarbeiten der Umzug an einen neuen Standort in Leinefelde. Seitdem wächst das Sortiment weiter und die eigene Fertigung am Standort Leinefelde wird ständig erweitert.
