Geführt wird die in Halle ansässige Produktionsfirma von Eike Goreczka und Christoph Kukula. 42film versteht sich als Inhouse-Produktion und als Plattform für talentierte, junge Filmemacher aus dem In- und Ausland. Dabei stehen die Entwicklung und Umsetzung von Dokumentar- und Spielfilmen gleichberechtigt nebeneinander.
