Info Our mission is the transfer of knowledge about coral propagation and restoration to local communities in Maldives. In workshops with the German Oceanographic Museum and Zoo Aquarium Madrid we empower Maldivians to protect their underwater environment. Geschichte The German Oceanographic Museum, Yamila & Torsten Krussk and the Zoo Aquarium Madrid are cooperating to protect the fragile reef environment in Maldives. Dr. Nicole Kube, Mirko Becker and Pablo Montoto have been with us in Maldives with us to realize the idea of a workshop series to teach the Maldivian community a basic understanding of the ecology of a coral reef and the species community within the reef. Secondly, it is important for the Maldivians to learn about husbandry and reproduction of a wide range of tropical corals and best management strategies. The aim is to get the people to the workshop before they start any project to ensure that basic mistakes are not repeated.
