basICColor GmbH, located in a historic „Coffegrinder House“ in Penzberg in the Bavarian alpine upland, is a software manufacturer dedicated to colormanagement and nothing but. 
basICColor GmbH has some 20 years of experience in the graphic arts industry and in color. Back in 1993 we were the first ones to offer a complete ICC-based color managemnet system in Europe, the renouned ColorBlind from Color Solutions.

Since 2000 we develop our own color management solutions under the brand name basICColor®. And true to our company motto „…because it simply works!“, all our products are user-centric, easy to use but of highest quality. 
Since color isn´t trivial anyhow, we accompany our customers with consultancy and „training on the job“ when they implement or optimize color managed workflows in their company.

Being the developer of the certification software for ISO 12647-x certifications by the German Printers Association, our consultants and engineers know how to implement procedures and standards so that they comply with the demands of these standards. This enables our customers to realize gains from increased productivity  and competitiveness accompanied by quality intensification an immeasurable advantage in an ever stiffer market.

basICColor´s QC solutions are being used in industry, pre-press, photo labs, printing houses and even museums around the world. Europes largest photo lab manages the quality of their photobook production with basICColor control across 12 locations.

Lately we entered the world of hardware development and production. basICColor DISCUS is a high-end, lab-grade colorimeter for monitor calibration and profiling, for QA and light measurement at an unrivaled price – German engineering at its best.
