Study Europe in Tübingen

The International & European Studies Programs are offered as Summer, Winter as well as Fall Schools!

In one of the International & European Studies (IES) short-term programs students can attend seminars and guest lectures in English by renowned Tübingen researchers on topics like

*  The European Union: Institutions and Politics
*  Culture in Europe - European Culture
* European Legal Landscape: Past and Present
* Doing business in Europe

and can develop their German language skills.

Successful completion of the academic program will be rewarded by an “IES-Certificate” and you can earn ECTS-credits!

The academic program is complemented by excursions to Strasbourg, Berlin and Brussels including tours of the European Parliament, interviews of EU-politicians, and visits at influential companies of the economically strong region of Baden-Württemberg.

The development of intercultural competence constitutes a main goal of the program. Workshops in which IES-students can reflect on their intercultural experience in Germany as well as our  “Buddy-program” (one German “buddy” teams up with  one international student) support the development of the participants’ intercultural sensitivity and competence.

Tübingen is the ideal location for this small and intense academic program: this picturesque, safe University town with its many labyrinthine alleys and its romantic old town offers our IES-students multiple opportunities to experience German culture in pubs, cafés, lectures or on one of its famous punting boats (“Stocherkahn”).
