Welcome to the official fanpage of Göttingen’s most anglophone Fachgruppe! On this page, you can find the most recent announcements of your favourite Fachgruppe about upcoming events, important dates and the occasional baby animal gif.

You don’t know who we are? Well, then it’s about time to read this:

Who is the Fachgruppe?
We’re an unpolitical, most of the time pretty well organized and quite fun to be around group of students based at the department sections of English Philology and American Studies at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.

What do we do?
Always aiming at making the most of your and our time at Göttingen University, the Fachgruppe is the channel through which you can make your voice, ideas and criticism heard at the department. Additionally, we help you setting up your time tables, provide information on studying abroad and are here for your problems with and concerns about your studies, your life in Göttingen and the universe in general. And even if we cannot help you directly, we can direct you to those who do. Last but not least, we're also in charge of organizing the non-academic highlights of the year, meaning O-Phase, Christmas Party and Summer Party.

We’re always looking for new members and contributors helping us in any way they can and want to. You don’t have to be shy, just contact us on Facebook or via [email protected] or visit one of our monthly meetings: every first Wednesday of the month at 8 o’clock in the SEP Medienraum! Just keep your eyes and ears open and your Facebook feed updated!
