Geschichte

Frankfurt Airport is one of the world's most important airports. It has become Germany's largest employment complex at a single location, with more than 500 companies and organizations providing jobs for more than 80,000 people. FRA is the home base of the Star Alliance and also served by a long roster of other airlines from all over the globe. No other European airport offers as many nonstop flights to Seoul or Shanghai, for example.

104 airlines have around 4.600 direct flights a week to 297 destinations in 104 countries.
It takes only three hours to fly to Madrid, London, Moscow or Athens, nine to Chicago and 11 to Mumbai or Guangzhou.

154,000 passengers pass through Frankfurt Airport every day. Nearly 30% arrive by train, and many leave via the airport train stations: in one of the 390 trains that take them fast to destinations in the region and the rest of Europe. Over 170 ICE trains a day ensure immediate connections.
