Who we are

Heidelberg MUN Society is an initiative created and organized by students from all subjects at the Ruperto-Carola University in Heidelberg. Its main goal is to promote the main principles of the United Nations and to inspire students to develop solutions for various problems with world relevance.

What we do

Delegates are able to develop their research, public speaking and negotiating skills through our weekly sessions, workshops and chair training. Here you will have the chance to join delegations to national and international MUN conferences such as LIMUN, BIMUN, PIMUN and PragueMUN. The sessions are also a great way to practice your English as this is the main working language of this society.

What is MUN?

The Heidelberg MUN Society provides students with a platform to coordinate their participation in different UN related events, out of which the most common is the Model United Nations (MUN). MUN is simulation United Nations, where students take on the role of a delegate of a member states to represent its interests in discussions on current world issues.

How do I get involved?

Drop by one of our weekly MUN sessions every wednesday. Exact time and place will be announced soon. Study guides and topics will be released here every week to give you any relevant details on the issue and to kick-start your research.
