Geschichte

The aim of the institute was as it is still today to establish an independent research institute, where research and development, teaching new construction methods, especially related to membrane and net constructions, shell technologies, as well as energy-saving building, is the focal point. Numerous members like professors, students, teachers and physicist, craftsmen and computer scientists from all over the world were the basis for the creation of a forum for exchanging experiences and knowledge in the field of membrane technology.

Produkte

The master course M.Eng. Membrane Structures started in 2006 for the first time. At the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and the Institute for Membrane and Shell Technologies for the first time in the world there is an Archineer and master course for Memmbrane Structures. In 2013 the 8th course will start and with more than 150 students it became very successful.

The course is adressed to graduees in the field of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Geo-Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering or comparable programs. Please have a look at the admission requirements of the study. After successfull completion of the course the academic degree Master of Engineering in Membrane Structures (M.Eng.) will be granted by the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.
