LEOlingo language camps run English and French summer camps for children in Germany. Our camp counsellors come from all over the world and experience teaching a language through sports, games, songs and drama.

Geschichte

Our one-week language camps encourage fun with the language, self-confidence and contact with other children. Each with their own small group (about 12 kids), the English, French/English speaking counsellors offer a varied camp programme so that the children really get to know the language. Everything is explained enthusiastically to encourage the children to join in.

At LEOlingo it’s not about overloading the children with grammar and vocabulary. The main focus is on the speaking and understanding of the language in everyday situations, as the counsellors speak only in their native language. Through language games and sports, self-written dramas and funny sketches, crafts and discussions, the children simply learn the language along the way.

Children can take part in language camps around Erlangen, Amberg, Nuremberg, Neumarkt and Regensburg. Our one-week language camps are available as day or overnight camps. Some of our camps also offer a special activity, such as canoeing, horse riding or circus skills.

We are searching for native speakers to be language counsellors during the German summer break. Don’t hesitate to send us your application if your mother tongue is English or French-English, if you would like to spend some time working abroad and if you are interested in teaching kids your language in a fun way, while having the possibility of travelling and getting to know the German culture.

Each counsellor will partake in an intense week-long training session, where they will be taught all of the activities from the LEOlingo programme and about how to deal with certain camp situations. As well as having fun working with the kids, counsellors also get the chance to explore Bavaria at the weekends. Even Prague is only a 3 hour bus ride away from Nuremberg.
