Established in 2004, MaxterHost is a Germany-based web hosting company that operates internationally, providing a wide variety of hosting and internet services for individuals and small & medium business.

The Company
MaxterHost Internet Solutions has been established on the 18th of October, 2004 as an international provider of shared hosting, reseller hosting and VPS hosting. We believe that continuous uptime, high performance servers and innumerable features are self-evident by today's standards, so we're going a step further with our friendly, flexible and efficient customer support - the essence of our company.

MaxterHost was recently awarded as one of the Top Pick Web Host 2012 by WebHostingSearch and successfully met the standards set forth by FindMyHost's Approved Host Program (Report Card).

Server Hardware
Our equipment is chosen carefully to ensure a maximum uptime and performance for our clients. Quality comes first, so we refrain from using cheap unreliable brands or desktop computers as servers. All our servers are either custom-built or built by SuperMicro with enterprise-class hardware for maximum persistence, speed and reliability. An ordinary server has an Intel Xeon or Intel Core i7 processor, between 12 GB and 32 GB of ECC RAM and enterprise hard drives protected by RAID (redundant array of independent disks). The servers are frequently upgraded as technology improves.

Software
All shared and reseller hosting servers run the latest stable version of CloudLinux, a highly reliable operating system enhanced for resource usage management, security and performance. Among many other advantages, CloudLinux prevents resource usage spikes that can be caused by resource-intensive scripts and it ensures that all accounts share the server resources fairly.
Managing your web site has never been easier thanks to the most popular and powerful hosting control panel, cPanel. It allows you to easily manage your databases, email accounts, scripts, etc. Additionally, you have access to over 280 scripts that you can automatically install in just a few seconds with the help of two script libraries, Softaculous and Fantastico! De Luxe.
Resellers have access to WHM (WebHost Manager), simplifying the process of managing multiple web hosting accounts under one "roof". This allows you to either start your own web hosting company, manage a wide network of websites, provide your friends and family with their own web hosting accounts - you name it!

Server Location and Network
Our shared and reseller hosting servers are located at the myLoc data center in Düsseldorf, Germany. The data center is connected through direct and redundant fiber-optic connections and has its own external backbone connections of 170 Gbps to all major carriers and exchange points.

Our VPS nodes are located at the Hetzner Online data center park in Falkenstein, Germany. Multiple redundant upstreams summarize an upstream of 250 Gbps, ensuring low response times and high performance across the globe. The data center is TÜV-certified and counts to one of the most reliable and modern data centers in Europe.

Server Monitoring and Maintenance
The server monitoring is ensured 24x7 by our custom-designed internal monitoring system and 3rd-party monitoring services at 1-minute intervals. Our system administrators frequently check the health and efficiency of each server. If a service or the entire server becomes unavailable, we are instantly notified and immediately proceed fixing the affected service/server as quickly as possible. All servers are equiped with IPMI devices and KVM switches, so we can usually access the server remotely even when the operating system doesn't load and fix critical issues much faster without having to physically access the server. Besides remote access, we also have on-site technicians available directly at the data center during the day and an on-call emergency service nearby the data center.
