History
MINT's unique method for entirely automatic scheduling was developed at Kiel University and in cooperation with Lufthansa Technical Training starting in 1994. Generating the annual training schedule had been a totally manual process up to then. A remarkable improvement in resource utilization and reduction of costs became apparent and routine processes could be accelearated significantly. Consequently, Joerg Latteier and Christian Hollmann founded MINT MEDIA INTERACTIVE in 1998.

Over time and with more and more customers, MINT extended the scope of its Training Management System (TMS) to include all fields of Aviation Training. Continuous improvement since 1998 means that MINT TMS also contains a powerful and flexible record-keeping tool suite that is a very valuable business solution especially for MRO organizations.

MINT has grown during the years and owes its success to highly committed employees and their cumulative and extensive experience in aviation industry requirements and software development, integration and implementation. Our team enhances and improves the system constantly and cares for customers and their individual wishes around the clock.

Locations
MINT is headquartered in the brand new Kiel Science Centre which is the very heart of the Kiel Science Park and provides a platform for both the business and science sectors. In January 2009, Wolfgang Becker founded MINT Middle East FZE. Located at the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone, this new subsidiary will be our new hub in the United Arab Emirates.

Additionally, MINT is represented in Denver, Colorado (US) and Bucaramanga (Colombia).
