The nonprofit association was founded by the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the University of the German Armed Forces (UniBw), the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Bauhaus Luftfahrt (BHL), an aerospace think tank.
The organisation’s purpose is to systematically interlink the research activities of the four Munich Aerospace partner organisations aiming at developing the Munich area into a strategically important aerospace research centre.
