People protect what they love (Jacques-Yves Costeau)

After more than 25 years of professional underwater photography, I got hungry for new spheres, perspectives and ventures. Taking photography from the ocean into the sky, capturing nature's bounty from completely new angles and diving into the realm of film-making seems to appease my appetite. It is such a delight to add completely new experiences and challenges into my life and to keep learning from younger generations. Of which one individual has inspired me like no other in the past 4 years. I owe him a great deal of my creative energy. It's Florian Fischer of Behind the Mask. - Thank you, my friend! All your tips and tricks about filming, drones and Final Cut Pro have kindled a new passion. Of course, still way too many of my ideas lie idle due to a lack of time. But my new creative awakening is happening... and so things are going to shift slowly but steadily...
Believe me, I can't wait to realize my new ways of expressing landscapes, wildlife, oceans, skies and, of course, the world's most remote dive destinations. I can't wait to finally take all these photographs and footages that are already on my mind and to max out all the full potential that new technologies and increasing knowledge is holding ready for me. All mixed with my very personal ideas and life, dive and travel experience.
"You snooze, you loose", that's for others. I am totally fuelled up. Allow me to take you with me around the globe and to the most unique dive destinations in the upcoming years. To get to know them, to dive there and to protect them is a privilege I will always be most grateful for.
