The Pediatric Castle offers quality full-service pediatric care in the Ramstein area caring for children from birth to adolescence. Step into our world of full-service, child-focused pediatric care. We treat all kids like royalty giving only the very best care possible.
We are 2 experienced Pediatricians with over 30 years of international pediatric experience. From newborns and infants to toddlers and adolescents, we are your partner in keeping your kids happy and healthy. We adhere to the highest standards and keep up with the latest advancements in pediatrics. We even offer separate waiting rooms for our sick and well patients.

About us

Our Pediatric office consists of certified Pediatricians and Nurse Practitioners. We are committed to enhancing the health of our patients by supporting parents to feel confident and knowledgeable.

Our Pediatricians

Stefan Schmitt
Dr. med. Stefan Schmitt graduated from University of Mainz, Germany in 1999. He immediately started his pediatric residency in the pediatric clinic in Kaiserslautern, Germany and completed it in 2008. He became senior physician in 2006 with the specialty in pediatric gastoenterology.
He started his own practice in 2008.

While in Medical school he worked as a paramedic for 10 years. He also lived in Canada for a period of time, improved his language skills and learned to build log homes.

When he is not at the Castle, he enjoys spending time with his family, riding a mountain bike and playing golf. Home-improvement projects are his passion!

Lucca Seipenbusch
He started his medical carrer as a paramedic in 1992. He then entered the university of Mainz, Germany in 1994. He finished his pediatric residency in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

In 2007 he started in a pediatric clinic in Neunkirchen/Kohlhof Germany to deepen his knowledge in pediatric neurology and sleep medicine.

He is a pediatrician in our office since 2009.

He has 3 sons which are his greatest accomplishments. He likes all sorts of sports, especially DiscGolf, Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer and Biking. He also enjoys reading and visiting concerts.

The Practice

At the Pediatric Castle we strive to provide the most comprehensive, evidence based, family centered care possible for you and your child.

This Practice is serving english speaking Patients and their families for more then 20 years, starting with the previous owner Dr. G. Schmidt, followed by Dr. Stefan Schmitt and Lucca Seipenbusch. Over the years, the faces have changed but the same dedication to quality pediatric care has not. Our entire staff is available to help you and to make each visit a pleasant and special experience.

We accept and work with Tricare and the British medical system.

We are your specialists when it comes to the special needs of all NATO families living overseas here in Ramstein. We provide Immunizations and special treatments according to american schedules.

On june 1st we moved to our new practice rooms „Ritterdoc-Castle“ to make everything more comfortable for the kids and their parents.

In June 2014 we moved to our new practice called Ritterdoc Castle.

We built this castle to serve little princesses and knights and help them forget the fear of an uncomfortable situation. We have seperated waiting rooms that are equipped with toys in the castle theme. Please check it out in our picture gallery
