Geschichte

Come and join the 13th PSSC, a conference exclusively organized by PhD students for
PhD students, this year taking place at the prestigious
Leibniz-Institute of Plant Biochemistry in Halle (Saale). It offers great
opportunities to talk about your work, discuss your results, get to know
new and interesting people, and get insight into topics and questions
you might have not been aware of before. It is called the Plant Science
Student Conference but we highly encourage PhD students from all related
fields such as chemistry, bioinformatics, biochemistry, or agriculture
to apply and to profit from the benefits such an interdisciplinary
conference offers.

Since this is a student conference, we want to emphasize that also
first year PhD students or others who do not have final results should
apply. You might get some good ideas and suggestions on how to proceed
and boost your research.

Last years PSSCs, which also took place at the IPK in Gatersleben, saw
participants from a wide range of different institutes and countries
presenting posters and talks with topics spanning from chromosome
evolution in Arabidopsis to bioinformatics, from transgenic spruce and
apple trees to plant immunity.

Besides talks and posters presented by the participants also guest
speakers will be invited who will give you an impression about the wide range of plant sciences.
