Geschichte

The history of TEEPACK starts with the invention of the double chamber tea bag in 1948. The special feature of the novel tea bag is that – different from previous infusion possibilities – the tea within the double chamber bag is lapped by water in the cup from four sides. Thus, the aroma can develop to the full. It was only 1949 when TEEPACK brought “Constanta” to the market - the world’s first packaging machine for double chamber tea bags which was able to produce 120 double chamber tea bags per minute. This double chamber tea bag machine which by 1991 had been further developed and marketed under the name of PERFECA and COMPACTA ennobles nowadays good tea to excellent tea – in large quantities of up 420 bags per minute.
In 2017 TEEPACK invented a novel single chamber tea bag with string and tag and the corresponding newly invented single chamber tea bag packaging machine (EFICENTA) which produces up to 600 tea bags per minute.

TEEPACK is more than a machine producer it is in fact a solution provider with more than 2500 tea bag packaging machines in the global tea market. Because of its associated company Teekanne TEEPACK knows the needs of a tea producer in detail.

Since 2005, Teepack also manufactures the vertical form, fill and seal machine ZENOBIA for the packaging of pasta, rice, sweets, cereals, tea, coffee, pet food as well as non-food products. Teepack has already successfully implemented solutions to customers in Germany, the United Kingdom, Iran, Italy, Austria, Spain and Portugal.
