Tomster 4 Life´s Biography
Behind this name "Tomster 4 Life" is hidden the present 35 years old DJ and music producer Oliver Kruse from Germany - Hamburg.

In 1981 the artist saw the light of day. Already at the tender age of 6 years he has already been interested in music and learned to play guitar.

So his way was predetermined and he was supposed to do business with music. It was not clear at the time, however, that he would become DJ and music producer.

In 1990 the artist got two cassette recorders of the brand RFT GC-6010 Stereo Made in DDR 1981 and played in his nursery. There he mixed the first music. By this time, however, he had not yet realized what this all had meant to him and which paths would be opened up for him.

In 1992, the artist, who was not active at that time, visited the Disco Lighthouse in the Hamburg quarter of Bergedorf for the first time, where he saw the Disco Lightshow and all the big boxes. This encounter was
a ripsnorter to him.

It fascinated him so much that from this day on he went there every Friday, so he got to know the DJs there and looked very exactly what they were doing behind the DJ desk.

Just crazy. But he did not even think about it, and so he eventually lost contact to the disco which is now closed. However, for the those days 12 years old guy everything should change.

In the same year he was cut off from home, lived on the streets of Hamburg for quite some time, and he had to go through it, year after year, until he was 20 years old.

Because of the very turbulent year of 1993 he unfortunately lost sight of the music scene.

In 1994 the artist met a new friend who brought him back into the music and disco scene. It was the discotheque "Powerhouse". At that time it was hottest disco at the famous Hamburg boulevard Reeperbahn and the DJs played drum & bass music.

This gave him renewed interest in music and discography and, despite the legal ban of minors from those places, this became his passion and he spent every free minute in there.


For the artist everything started in 1995 and he successfully pursued his goals until 2009. From 2009 to 2017 he took a very long break, which he has not regretted to this day.

The goal was simply to get distance from it all, especially to recharge new energy, to gather new ideas and now with its track and feel for music, to win the scene for itself again.

Tragic events, his sister had committed suicide in 2009, in the same month his grandfather died in front of his eyes of lung cancer and the house he lived in burnt down, made him to leave the stage for a while.

But he did not want to simply disappear without realizing his dream! In 2010 he restarted his work. He also released the single "Take You Away", which was even listed on Armada and Musicload under his current name "Tomster 4 Life".

Then 2 remixes followed. He made the first remix for Tom Wax and Strobe Kontor Records "Cantate" and the other one for 4 strings "Take me Away".

At the end of 1995, he met a new friend again and brought him into the Techno discotheque in Hamburg: "Tunnel Club" Hamburg, Reeperbahn.
He spent a very long time there, started celebrating there, working there and found himself more and more interested in the character of the DJ.

At some point, he got his first records. One of them, the "Tunnel Trance Force" record, he was allowed to put it on the same night.

You have to imagine how that was when he first saw a hammer music installation. For the 5 listeners it was certainly terrible but they survived. From that day on Tomster 4 Life tasted blood and more and more records were added. From 3 records his repertoire grew up to about 1000 and thus he had enough material to use every opportunity for practicing.

One day he got the opportunity to play on a rave, "Time Tunnel 5". As a substitute in the second floor, which made him a fate in relation to the tunnel and he was no longer wanted there.

So he started to look for gigs on his own and to establish himself in the scene. Clubs such as the "Baluga Bar", Hamburg, the "Goliath", Schwerin, "Airbeat One", Schwerin and some others gave him the opportunity to show his skills and flair for the music and the scene.

For him as a perfectionist it is important for the artist to remain authentic, to treat people with respect and to remain sincere. He feels responsible for the music as for his listeners in order to be able to combine both of his senses, to create joy of life and to lead the audience to ecstasy.

He loves the audience, the music, and tries to stand out from the crowd and not fall into a mainstream. The uniqueness must and should be preserved.

His music taste varies between melodic "Deep Vocal House" and mixed "Vocal Trance & Uk Trance Music". He does convince by his exclusive music style on the set behind the turntables. The audience celebrates him at his events.

As an artist he searches the proximity to the fans, the atmosphere is important to him.

Tomster 4 Life has been thinking about a comeback, because it is his life and his passion to inspire people with his music and to make them celebrate. So he decided to start with a big load of new singles, which have just been produced in the studio and released afterwards, to appear again on the scene and rediscover the scene.

So we're heading for a new chapter in 2017!
The homepage is just being pulled up, a database is being built up and worked diligently in the recording studio. Every month there is a new single so you may stay curious. According to his info, it will be a mixture of deep house and vocal trance. Musically a great choice.
