The dpz is an interdisciplinary studio and fabspace at the Academy of Fine Arts Saar.

Geschichte

In cooperation with xm:lab - experimental media lab, dpz organizes experimental research projects at the intersections of information technology, computer science, art, and design.

Through a broad array of digital development and fabrication processes, dpz implements concepts, models, prototypes and small production series with a particular focus on "rapid pro­to­typ­ing", "rapid ma­nu­fac­tu­ring" and "phy­si­cal com­pu­ting".

A team of artists and designers offers practice-based tutorials to support students from all degree programs in the development of approaches to use analog and digital fabrication tools in self-directed projects.
