Pure bikes. No dragsters. Two wheels, two cylinders with maximum 1200 ccm. These are the key facts of the most exciting sprint challenge of the year 2017.

Geschichte

The new sprint series Essenza calls the motorcycle manufacturers and importers into the ring - for the 1/8 mile sprint in a simple knock-out system. The loser gets kicked out.

BMW vs. Ducati. Harley-Davidson vs. Kawasaki. Battling with Moto Guzzi, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha. This professional league is joined by a handful of sports enthusiasts and custom builders. All in all, 16 motorcycles. With a maximum of two cylinders and no more than 1200 cc displacement.

The races take place on 10–11 June at the Caferacer Festival in Montlhery and on 1–3 September at Glemseck 101 in Leonberg. All participants design their vehicles in cooperation with popular bike builders to create exceptionally purist individual pieces.

Between the two events, the 16 Sprint motorcycles are presented for the design competition. Through a public voting function on the Essenza Website everyone can vote for his or her favorite and become a part of what is probably the most exciting sprint challenge in 2017.
