The Program of Accompanying Research for Innovation (PARI) contributes to sustainable agricultural growth and food security in Africa and India. We bring together partners from Africa, India and Germany as part of the Green Innovation Centers initiative.

Geschichte

Globally, more than one in nine people are suffering from hunger. On the other hand, food production levels are as high as never before in human history.

To a large extent, hunger remains to be a poverty-related problem, and the majority of those afflicted from undernourishment and malnutrition are small-scale subsistence farmers who are unable to take advantage of the rising global demand for agricultural goods to improve their livelihoods.
