"In over 30years of trying to create a strong NIGERIA COMMUNITY IN GERMANY, the echo of conflicts and discrepancies among our people have ranged from München, the heartbeat of Bayern in the far south, to Hamburg in the north and from Koblenz along the Rhein river in the west, down to Dresden in the deep east. Sub-cultural tribalism, cultural taboo and mores have over governed our sense for simple reality and mere truth and as such it has slowed down the aspiration of our people to define true leadership. The impact of all this has emerged in contemporary time to degrading consciousness for hope among Nigerians and therefore demoting the trust in the power of our togetherness as brothers and sisters and misrepresenting the importance of our interest as diasporas here in abroad and in our country. The aim of THE NIGERIAN-GERMAN COMMUNITY is to advocate purely and truly and with the trust of our people for the interest of our people. The fundamental objectives of this ASSOCIATION is to emphasis on the importance of true leadership for Nigerians in Germany and thereby defining a comprehensive concept for good governance for our people.

As foreign people in a country far beyond ours, the fight for our rights should be a common purpose that should bid us beyond the fundaments of our culture and should proceed us beyond the basement of unity. In the fall of autumn 2010 and in the instance of the death of a member of the Nigerian community, a tragic occasion that brought to light the power of our togetherness, such incident indicates that the cleverness of a people is often defined by its ability to be strong in unity. In our obligatory aim, we are determined to renew hope on that power of our togetherness and help reinstall substantial elementary changes as to the way we elect our leaders.In our commitment we shall pursue the aim to helping reshape our mindsets towards a requirement for the best quality in leadership.

In the past, the leaders of our community have always been elected like a "pig in a poke" their ability to handle such positions were never questioned, the quality of their leadership has never been in query nor have they ever been grilled by our people nor have they come out openly to unfold their plans as to how they specifically think to productively helping our community. Today Nigerians all across Germany still have to pay high prices in travelling to the embassy of Nigeria in Berlin to embrace their respective consulate issues. The worst is when our people are retreated by their own Embassy (undermining the high cost they have paid to travel to Berlin) due to reasons beyond their responsibilities, mostly coursed by inadequate information by the Nigeria Embassy or due to mismanagement in the embassy's administrative departments or because of corruption. Such issue as the last example has never been an issue of serious matters among our respective community leaders. We had never had a productive and constructive debate of such issues nor have our leaders ever come out with common sense solution. The new Nigerian –German Community would change that.

The persistent advancement of modern technology has even taken the most advanced cultures in challenge. The parameter of success lays without any doubt on the ability of leaders and our organization to make strong decisions and good judgments. In our commitments to our people we shall persistently advocate for the spirit of strong unity among the various sub-ethnical groups of our people. We shall pave an avenue of dialogue between our community and the German Government and we shall always make it a top priority to let not only the German government understand and act productively to all our issues of concern but also to the Nigerian Government.

At this point we would like to thank the editor of the most popular African magazine in Europe "The African Courier" Mr. Femi Awoniyi for his persistent advocate for a strong Nigeria Community, it has been exemplary. We would like to thank Mr. Emeka Igwe, the Vice President of the IBO Cultural Association, Rhein Neckar Delta for his strong advocate for this project. We would also like to thank the Association of Yoruba Descendants in their unremitting endeavour to forge a Yoruba Association. Exclusive thanks to the new GERMAN-YORUBA CULTURAL ASSOCIATION in their profound engagement in understanding the real issues that confront the Yorubas and in their commitment in tacking the issue with a common sense solution. We like to thank Mr. Benjamin James and Chady Ifeayin for their persistent engagement in our community, Aunty Bioye for her commendable engagement and service for all Nigerians, the Barbers Mr. John and Mr. Emmanuel Ikegwuonu for their incomparable service to our people.

We shall like to thank all Nigerians that are for the progress of our community and all those who are willing to show more engagement for the progress of the Nigerian-German Community. Please join the new "Nigerian-German Community" for a better nigerian-german-hood.
